North Node Leo

THE NORTH NODE JOURNEY TO YOUR SOUL MISSION

By Linda Lee Adams

The North Node represents the valuable key towards understanding your soul mission. It provides meaning as part of a continual discovery of your life’s journey. Learning about the North Node in the signs lends access to the numerous ways you can experience more joy, happiness and inner harmony. In order to determine your soul potential take a look at the North Node and South Node chart in Linda Brady’s book: “Discovering Your Soul Mission; How To Use Karmic Astrology To Create The Life You Want,” (Chapter 4, pgs. 75-77). What do the nodal positions mean?

Learning about your South Node is an equally important reference point as the South Node is symbolic of your past; it is a combination of many incarnations. Below is a chart highlighting the Nodal Points:

There are derivatives of past life experiences, attitudes, thoughts and energies that have led you to the current life. For instance, do you fall back on the familiar when challenges appear in your life? Have you seen someone that you just know you have met before? Do cosmic 2x4’s hit you again and again with the same life lessons? Therefore, according to Martin Schulman, “the potentially weakest spot in any horoscope is the South Node for it represents the footsteps we have left behind us,” (“Karmic Astrology,” p. 23).

The Sun shines regally upon the noble fire sign Leo, from July 23-August 22, 2003. The Lion Constellation is traditionally the Nemean lion, its golden pelt guarding against iron, bronze and stone. Leo the Lion is the King, the boss, and the leader!

While Leo is magnanimous, generous, creative and enthusiastic it will also display its showmanship to an adoring audience. Leo’s love for power and distinction commands success. Leo is warm-hearted as it pulsates inner strength, respect and authority. It honors the royal abundance of the universe as it accepts the benevolence that permeates the heart of its kingdom. A gifted ruler, Leo models courage, nobility and respect to its people. With confident awareness of its attributes, the Lion inspires others to follow as a leader, not to follow the leader.

The North Node in Leo symbolizes the creative spontaneous child, playful and carefree. Leo dances and sings to the melodies of legends like suave Sinatra and hip jolting Elvis. It enjoys movement, and permits the beat of the wind to caress its face. Leo is fun loving and enjoys the laughter that connects lovers and friends. Leo must have created the phrase: “it’s never too late to have a happy childhood.”

“When you dance, the whole universe dances.”  J. Rumi

Along with Leo’s love for playfulness, it also appreciates the yearning of true love as demonstrated in Emily Bronte’s novel, “Wuthering Heights.” It is unforgettable when Healthcliff proclaims to Catherine, “I cannot live without my life! I cannot live without my soul!” For Leo, merging with its soul mate is instinctive. Leo believes in the art of romance. It will create a magical setting including an exquisite candlelit dinner so it can admire the object of its affection. Although, when an illusive romance smolders to ashes, Leo will lick its wounds, and then find the glimmer to shine again.

Leo the Lion is loyal, affectionate and cheerful. Leo’s optimism literally brings sunshine into the lives of others. In many ways this is their mission in life. Leo needs self-expression as its heart commands the life force. With great hope and faith in the future, Leo is an awesome fighter. It has the fortitude to endure much discomfort if it will lead to a comfortable and a peaceful life. Leo needs those quiet hours lazing in the sun.

As Leo is known for mounting its throne with dignity, it also has a flair for the drama. With a theatrical bias Leo can manifest its love for attention, either as a splendid actor, or with a display of lively mannerisms. The majestic Lion is known for dressing fashionably, wearing gold jewelry, styling its tresses, speaking with confidence, and doing things in a big way. Think of those Leos that have impacted our lives and our culture: Carl Gustav Jung, George Bernard Shaw, Neil Armstrong, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Madonna.

Not only is Leo the Master of living, as he tastes the finest champagne and caviar; but Leo is also the best at providing others with the best in life. Leo is compassionate as it shares its wealth. As a philanthropist Leo will bequeath large endowments with his name crowning the new pediatric wing of a hospital; and Leo presents glittery tokens of affection wrapped in flowers and bows. Leo knows intrinsically that he receives the best gift of all - the smiles from his recipients. King Leo feels that heart connections transform lives, and that love is an active process.

“Tell me, and I’ll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I’ll understand.”  Native American Saying

In addition to their open hearts Leos make wonderful organizers; they’ll organize your life if you will let it. Extravagant Leos are hard workers, and they set a fine example in the career arena. Life is a stage for Leo as it expresses optimism, delight, and grand ideas of leadership. Leo does not worry about what if, should of, or could of; rather, it understands that the only thing certain in life is that the sun will rise each day. For Leo life is an adventure to take, to taste, to love and to live!

Nothing can stop the thirst of the Lion heart. The Leo North Node is the “Spiritual King!” Leo values its ambitions and strives for the limelight. Loving its dramatic yet romantic qualities provide the artery for many paths in life. Engaging and charismatic Leo shines upon us all as it enters our existence with a roar. Its ruby red heart touches our lives with love, integrity and honor. Linda Brady - the generous leader, who has taught us how to appreciate our inner child, and to discover our inner light, is a magnificent symbol of Leo. As an apostle of confidence, love and courage Linda is a testament to the spirit of Leo! North Node Leos are the masters of their fate as they honor the divinity of God.

“A great man is he who does not lose his child’s heart.”  Mencius
